Although we have been experiencing the typical “May Gray” – hopefully this June will bring summer sunshine and memorable beach days. The Studio Encinitas Open Mic Night | June In Encinitas

Healthy Pet Expo | June In Encinitas
WHAT: The City of Encinitas is excited to host its Pet Health Expo. The new park features a 2-acre dog park, which will add to the fun of the Expo. More than 20 informational booths, vendors, and animal rescue organizations will be on hand at the expo to give away free goodies and prizes as well as encourage pet health and wellness ideas. In addition, the County Department of Animal Services will offer many services on-site for residents of Encinitas, Solana Beach, Del Mar, Carlsbad, Santee, City of San Diego and unincorporated San Diego as follows:

San Dieguito Speaker Series Archeologist Dr. Sinead Ni Ghabhlain | June In Encinitas
WHAT: The San Dieguito Heritage Museum is hosting
Archaeologist Sinéad Ní Ghabhláin to discuss archaeological and historical investigations in downtown San Diego, that have provided fascinating insights into social and economic conditions in this small border town around the turn of the twentieth century. Her recent projects have included a luxury hotel catering to wealthy tourists, boarding houses of the working poor, a Chinese laundry, and a saloon and brothel in San Diego’s red light district, all dating to San Diego’s boom years of the late 1880s.

Encinitas Classic Car Nights | June In Encinitas
WHAT: Do you like classic cars? The Encinitas Classic Car Nights is back for the summer season! Take pictures and talk to the car owners who have meticulously restored their classic cars to their former glory. Grab a drink and a bite to eat and hang out in Downtown Encinitas while the classic cars cover the streets.
WHEN: June 16th (every third Thursday of each month in the summer) – 5:30 – 7:30 PM
WHERE: Downtown Encinitas along the 101 (close to the Encinitas 101 street sign).
San Elijo Lagoon Summer Sunset Tour | June In Encinitas
WHAT: Walk the beautiful San Elijo Lagoon trail and take in the sites and sounds of this natural preserve in Encinitas. Take a guided tour and watch the summer sun dip below the Pacific Ocean horizon. It’s a $5 or $12 donation to the San Elijo Lagoon Conservancy to join.

MOCA San Diego Free Third Thursdays | June In Encinitas
WHAT: Venture out of the “Encinitas Bubble” to La Jolla and experience the Free Third Thursdays at the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego. Enjoy ocean views and interesting art all for FREE this summer. Get cultured and enjoy our amazing city of San Diego.

Encinitas Farmers Market | June In Encinitas
WHAT: Fresh fruits, veggies, humus, cheese, flowers… you name it! If you want fresh, then head to the Encinitas Farmer’s Market. The local vendors will become your favorite people every week as you pick up your fresh food for the week. Walk from downtown and enjoy buying local next to your neighbors and community members. It’s what makes June in Encinitas so great.
